dBE process

A trace:original digital bill of exchange stays digital from start to finish — from issuance and transfer to payment or enforcement.

The process follows the same legal steps as paper. It just moves at digital speed.

Exporter as enabler

Exporter creates eBoE using trace:original and simultaneously e-signs and/or e-seal. This requires the exporter to be an Enigio customer

Electronic signing links are sent to all parties that are going to sign the eBoE

Importer electronically signs/accepts and downloads a verifiable version

Importer’s bank  electronically signs/aval and download verifiable version

When all have signed exporter endorses to bank

Original eBoE electronically transferred to bank against payment

Bank as enabler

Bank creates eBoE using trace:original

Electronic signing links are sent to all parties that are going to sign the eBoE

The eBoE is not sent only electronically signed

Exporter  electronically draws the eBoE by signing and downloads a verifiable version

Importer electronically signs/accepts and downloadsverifiable version

Once the eBoE is fully executed endorsement is added and signing links are sent to Exporter

When all have signed and the eBoE has been endorsed, the Bank has a fully executed eBoE
