Maker checker

If Maker/Checker is enabled on a Fullnode all creation and other updates to a document must go through a Maker/Checker workflow.

This means that someone (a Maker) can initiate a new operation/change that someone else (a Checker) can Accept or Reject.

If this feature is enabled some users must be given the TO_CHECKER role. A TO_USER or TO_SUPERUSER will be able to act as a Maker.

A user can be both a Maker and a Checker, but a Checker must always be another user than the one making something that should be Checked.

Every time a user who is a Maker initiates a new operation, either a completely new original or a change to an already existing original, the document or draft will be marked "To Checker" in the status column of either the DRAFT (if a new not created original) or the ORIGINALS tab (if the document is an already issued original).

When the Maker is sending a new document to checker a confirmation message is displayed.

A checker will have a special tab only users with role TO_CHECKER will see "TO CHECK".

When clicking on a document line in the "TO CHECK" tab the user will get to the ACCEPT/REJECT checker page.

Here the checker can see which Maker who made the change, and the change will be marked with either a DRAFT banner or a PENDING banner depending on if the change is a new document or addition/change to an existing.

If the Maker tries to accept the change this will fail.

If the Checker is not the same as the Maker and accepts, the change will be performed and logged in the document and ledger.

If the Checker does not approve or think something is wrong, they can Reject the checker and send it back to the Maker with a message.

Image

The document will then go back to the previous state and be marked as "To Maker" in either DRAFTS tab or ORIGINALS tab.

When Maker opens the document, it is marked as Rejected, which Checker who rejected it and also with the rejection message from the Checker.

The Maker can now update or change and resend the document for checking.

This 4-eye principle flow will be required for all changes and all operations.
