Open traceoriginal.com and choose document
At traceoriginal.com, click “Verify & manage” and choose the document you want to create a proof of possession for.
Unlock document with key
The document will be shown with validation information above it. Present the key for the active document, by clicking “FROM COMPUTER” to use a keyfile or enter the key manually, in the box to the right of the document.
Choose “Proof of possession” and enter details
Click “Proof of possession” in the menu to the right and enter the details of the document owner in the box to the right of the document. The details required will depend on which ID type is selected.
Download the proof of possession
Click “CREATE” to preview the proof of possession, then click “SUBMIT” to finalise and download it. You can now share this proof of ownership with anyone together with a verifiable copy of original. Together they can validate proof of possession on traceoriginal.com
